Ramona is southeast of Bartlesville. It was a small town of around 700 people in 1916. It served the oil industry with boarding houses, stores, and restaurants. The town was called Hobson and Bonton before being named after the popular Helen Hunt Jackson novel, Ramona, in 1899. We like to think that for a small town baseball team the White Sox had some of the best uniforms around.
